Boca Reservoir has a decent kokanee bite right now. Anglers are averaging Kokanee from 10 to 13 inches in length and are fishing around 25 ft of water with a pink hoochie. Shore anglers are fishing well off the dam and the east shoreline areas. If you are fishing from shore, try powerbait, worms, and salmon eggs and use smaller lures in the morning and evening. For dry fly fishing, anglers should concentrate on the Little Truckee inlet in the evening using a midge or blue-winged olive pattern.
