At Donner Lake, anglers are seeing a good, morning mackinaw bite trolling parallel to the guard rail from the boat ramp to loch leven lodge. Anglers should try trolling around 45 to 50 feet with pink hoochies, humdingers, and glow hoochies with a dodger of your choice. Anglers jigging for macks are finding success in the early mornings around 90 feet of water. Since Donner Lake was stocked recently this past month, shore anglers are also still catching good size rainbows averaging in the 12-16 inch range. A few spots to target these rainbows are fisherman’s pier and china cove.
