Water Conditions:  Good

Lake Elevation at 6768.6 on 6/10

Water is clean

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good

The perch spawn appears to be over with, the smaller males guarding the bed for up to a week. After the spawn the females immediately move out into deeper water. Right now the males are still in shallow water but the females are out in 20-30 feet. The trout seem to move in and out from day to day with deeper water being better lately. Don't expect to escape the perch, shallower or deep they will find you so just hang in there the trout will be back. Late morning the trout bite tapers off into only perch. McGee Bay to Stormy Flats has been the most consistent but the north end and Hilton Bay have their moments.
