At Dogtown Lake, biologists caught a lot of small-sized largemouth bass and crappie during the sampling, although they did get some crappie in the 10-inch range. When they sampled the far end of the lake, they caught some really nice brown trout up in the shallows. Last weekend the water was fairly murky beyond the shoreline, and shoreline anglers had mixed results. Those fishing PowerBait on the bottom were doing the best. Green garlic and rainbow seemed to the bait of choice. Folks using spinners off of the dam were also catching fish.
