Trout fishing remained volatile last week, with some anglers hitting pockets of active fish, and others working for 1 or 2 fish. Most successful anglers reported using Power Bait, but fly-bubbles, Kastmasters, Magic Bullets and crappie jigs all scored some fish. Big ones are showing, with 3 to 4 pounders fairly common. Bass action should be ballistic, but few anglers are trying; this week's full moon should have brought a few more anglers out in search of a lunker.
