James N. sent us this video clip of a nice smallmouth he caught out of Roosevelt Lake.

At Roosevelt Lake, James N. sent in this report last week: Water at 67% and holding, air in the high 70’s. water temp 67 and falling. Largemouth averaged 2-4 pounds and smallmouth averaged 1-1/2 pounds. He caught four smallmouth bass,15 largemouth on crappie minnows D/S (drop shot), Oxblood worms (D/S) and finesse Carolina Rigs. Smallmouth were from the dam to halfway down the lake towards the flats on the Tonto and Salt ends. Smallie and largemouth were by placed habitat on secondary points in 5 to 20 feet of water by stick-ups. Another angler reported catching some nice crappie on Bobby Garland baby shad tipped with crappie nibbles. Another reported having success with topwater dragon flies and wasps.
