Bass fishing improved last week, with some of the better fish moving into very shallow water. Just ask Chris Puth of Mira Mesa, who boated a 10.4 largie on a squarebill this past Sunday. Overall, the largemouth population has been scattered from 2' to 50' of water. The deeper fish eating finesse baits, the shallow ones both reaction, and drop shot, shakey head, etc. Both panfish, and catfish went unreported to the concession.

The bass bite has been fair on finesse baits fished in 30' to 50' of water. Main lake points, and high spots have  There has been a few big bluegill showing, but as usual with the panfish, baits and locations have been guarded. There's still no breaking fish here, but there's a finesse bite in 30' to 50' of water. Drop shot, shakey head, etc. accounted for most of the bass catches last week. A lot of catfish spotted visually in submerged Oak trees all over the lake, although nobody was able to land any of the giants.
