At Roper Lake, trout stockings have been delayed due to low water levels and water quality issues. Trout are tentatively scheduled to be stocked in Roper in January. In a report from mid November (courtesy of Arizona State Parks Ranger Michael DeLeon), some anglers were having success fishing from watercraft. There were several reports of 4- to 6-pound largemouth bass caught while dropshotting deeper water. Red or green jigs had accounted for some decent bass as well. No recent reports from the past week, however.
