The worm bite is good and the bass are in the shallows. The majority of reports are coming out of Harvey’s Arm. The algae bloom has started and will continue for a couple more weeks but the visibility is still good. Crappie reports are coming out of Otay arm, North Point and Bushlow’s Cove. Bluegill are between 10-20 feet deep.

This is gong to be an epic crappie season here at Lower Otay Reservoir! Considering we didn’t have much of a crappie season last year, its pretty exciting. Solid crappie reported are coming in from all over the lake. It’s hit and miss as per usual for this time of year for bass fishing.
