Green River Fishing Report 3/4/22

Flows are still low, 900 CFS, but fishing has been good. We are starting to see some decent hatches of midge on the warmer days with a few BWOs mixed in. Streamers are still fishing well.

Dry flies:

Some nice hatch of midge in the afternoon, earlier on the warmer days. Very few BWOs though there have been a few around. Midge are on the smaller size 20 -22.

Nymphing:

Light nymph rigs and dry dropper rigs have been producing well with smaller midge and baetis emergers and midge pupa.

Streamers:

Streamer season is still here. We have been fishing some of the slower and deeper water with a slow almost jigging retrieve. Fish some smaller articulated leech patterns like Peanut Envy’s, Articulated Goldies, and Articulated thin mints. Cycle through your colors.
