I want to say a very happy holiday season and a very Merry Christmas. Our local angler Gerry Ward was able to show off his limit of rainbow trout he landed at Rotary Park area. Gerry was fishing from shore using his favorite trout jig. I am a fan of spinners my self but these small jigs are a lot of fun. Both night crawlers and power bait are a must in you arsenal for your trout fishing needs. Community Park also is a great spot to try here along the shores of the Colorado river below the Davis Dam.

Up on Lake Mohave there has been some striper action and I am hearing about some catfish being landed.  The smallmouth bass are getting a huge following especially since the last fishing tournament from the Western Outdoors News derby. We are getting to be a great fishery with lots of opportunities for anglers of all ages.

Our trout season is being brought to us from the federal hatchery at Willow beach and these skilled folks are doing a great job on raising these fish for our local community.
