The day use area and boat launch are open, but the campground is closed for the winter. Fishing for trout with small lures, flies, or bait is your best bet for catching fish this time of year. Anglers have reported success fishing for trout from shore. Warmwater species such as bluegill, crappie, bass, and catfish are less active and are congregating in deeper water around cover. The water clarity is very turbid (dirty), so fishing with bait or very slowly with flies and lures will produce the best results. The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is still achievable. The limit is 2 bass minimum size 13 inches, the limit is 4 channel catfish.
