The dock is out of the water and the main boat ramp is closed for the season. As of Thursday, December 10, South Fork State Recreation Area reported 5″ of ice along the southwest shores. Early season winter ice fishing can be extremely dangerous, please exercise caution. Open water remains from the main boat ramp to the dam. Anglers are having luck with PowerBait, worms and a variety of small spinners. Popular flies include wooly buggers, hares ears, copper Johns, and leech patterns.
