With warmer temps last week and forecasted again for next week, ice at South Fork Reservoir continues to be variable and unsafe in some areas.  Ice near the boat ramp is not safe and should be avoided. Thicker ice, between 6″-7″, has been reported along the southwest shores. Always drill test holes, be cautious, and  come prepared with safety gear. Anglers are having luck catching trout up to 18″ with  PowerBait, meal worms, Nightcrawlers,  and ice jigs tipped with bait. Ice fishing holes must not exceed 10 inches in diameter (NAC 503.583). Limit of 5 trout.
