The lake level is low, but road access to the lake is open. Access to the Narrows is closed for the winter season. Local campgrounds (Canyon Vista, Lakeview, and Pine Grove) are closed for the winter. The lake is completely ice covered. This ice is not safe to walk on. Please do not throw rocks onto the ice by the boat launches. When the ice melts, these rocks sink and create hazards that can cause damage to boats and trailers. Daily fluctuations of runoff are pulsing into the lake, currently the gauge on Newman Canyon is not accurately reading discharge rates due to ice.
