Fishing Conditions

The Animas: a favorite winter fishery.  Expect fishing to wax and wane, but keep at it. Nymphs are the standard trick, but a slow and deep fish streamer wouldn’t be a bad idea either.  More than anything, get your fly size and weight right.  When in doubt, go smaller with the flies and deep with the weight.  Watch for warmer days to discolor the river.
