18 lb. Striped Bass

Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

Now that our weather is turning for the better I must say we have some river news. Our local angler Bryan Werkmeister and side kick Damien Howard (who helped get the smaller one in) was able to land a couple of nice size stripers. He was fishing from shore just above Rainbow Drive using an ac plug. The larger fish was 18.70 pounds at 35 and 1/5 inches and other 11.06 pounds and 32 inches. The larger one was a big fat fish.

A reminder this time of year our larger fish are coming through, make sure you have good line and a tight knot. We are still getting our trout plant should be at either community park or Davis Camp.

Not much word from up on Lake Mohave but that will change soon as our winds turn to calmer weather. The topock marsh area should be picking up as our water release from Davis Dam is getting better for our local boaters and anglers alike.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and your story mostly thanks so much for all of your support

We are still getting some trout stocking at Community Park and some at Davis Camp. We should be getting some rainbow trout at Rotary park near the first of the month.  So, if you are having some luck and are venturing...... Read More
