The past ten days have been some fabulous fishing and weather. Lake Siskiyou and Whiskeytown Reservoir are both producing quality Trout and Kokanee. The weather can't be beat right now. It has been cool in the mornings then rising to upper 80's. Sunrise on the water with coffee perking is the best.

Whiskeytown is now producing quality Kokanee and good numbers of fish. These fiesty fish have been pretty hot  when hooked, often jumping and shaking free once they get near the surface, but that is the challenge of these soft mouthed tasty salmon. 

Lake Siskiyou has been steady to hot fishing for months now. If you have been following my reports then you know the quality of brown and rainbow trout my clients have catching and keeping and catching and releasing. This little nugget of a lake is hard to beat, with majestic Mt Shasta in the background providing amazing photo ops.
