The anglers took advantage of the calm weather today and fished the deep water for rock fish. There were early limits caught by anglers up and down the coast. The halibut fishing is turning on with some bait moving into the bay. There have been some nice halibut caught from the wharf using white swim baits. The boaters are finding halibut near the Mile Buoy, Capitola, Pajaro, and Monterey. The anglers are using squid and herring for the halibut.
