Fishing Conditions
It’s a weird start to summer. With tons of snow, it’s still getting cold in the high country and causing runoff to last longer rather than all at once. Rafters rejoice.
Watch the turbidity gauge to drop below 18 or so for streamer and big nymph fishing. Below 10 will be good for smaller bugs.
Target close to the banks.
Patterns/Bug
Big water attractors: Prince nymphs and variants 10-14, Orange Crush 12-16, Egg and SJ worm patterns, Pat’s Rubberlegs and stonefly nymphs 4-8, Cranefly Larva 6-10,
Caddis Pupa: Barr’s Graphic Caddis 12-14, TBH Jig Caddis 14, Prarie Dog Pupa 14-16.
