The fishing is going great here along our shores

The fishing is going great here along our shores. Not much word from up on Lake Mohave as of yet. I am sure that will start to change as the water is warming up and the fishing for stripers should pick up. Here along our shores of the Colorado River, it's going very well, especially for the smaller stripers. Anchovies are one of your first baits to go to and have caught more fish than anything else in our area.

Our local angler Mike Jones and visiting grandson Kaleb Williams from Georgia were able to bring in his fish that weighed in at 3.54 pounds and was his first striper ever. They were in the Community Park area using anchovies. Meanwhile, Jeff Giampoalo was fishing from shore and landed a nice 4.84-pound striper at 25 inches. He was using a swimbait, which usually produces very well in this area.

Not much word from the marsh, but it's been hot and water levels have been a bit low in that area. I have been hearing of stripers being landed up and down the area, whether on a boat or shore. There's some great fishing going on. We hope you are able to land a few of these smaller stripers, mostly so the others will grow bigger, but they make great meals.

Hope this helps for now, and we look forward to seeing you soon to share that catch and your story. Mostly, thanks so much for all of your support.

Now go catch a fish!
