Water Conditions:  Fair

Lake Elevation is at 6777.2, 3 feet below full as of  8/6

It's back up 18 feet with 3' to full, But it's filling up slower now

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good or Poor, a day to day situation

We're stuck in a rut, a day or 2 good followed by 4+ tough . It's easy to blame the water level fluctuation but it's fishing, we'll probably never know. 2 big points to remember, with water temperatures going up look to the stream mouths and now that Perch fry are a big part of their diet timing of hatches has become less important. Don't be afraid to fish at any time of the day wind permitting. Another caveat is that with the extreme water fluctuations it can be very difficult getting into the stream mouths. The best area has been McGee  and the fish have been moving all over the place, now it's 14-40+ feet. The only thing that seems sort of consistent is they do move deeper later in the morning. The Callibaetis hatch is picking up and the damsels shouldn't be far behind. There are some interesting changes, very early has improved as well as very shallow so don't be afraid to explore. The weed beds are close to the surface now but with the way the lake's coming up it's going to be a little longer until we can fish the lanes and the holes. Those small Browns they've been stocking ( 8-13") are now all the way from Crooked Creek to McGee Bay.

Nymphs: Balanced Hares Ear Tan or Olive #12-16 | Janssen's Emerging Callibaetis #14-16 | Albino Baron | Zebra red/Gold or Black/Silver | Copper Clown | Copper Tiger | Tungsten F/B Black Beauty #16-18 | Double Bead Zebra
