Fishing has been good at Lahontan. Spin fisherman using jigs and spoons and fly fisherman using bright streamers are still consistently finding fish. The typical sandy beaches have been putting out fair numbers of small bass early and late in the day. Walleye fishing has been fair near the dam but should pick up as we start to cool down. There has been a few recent good reports for catfish on the Silver Spring side late in the day. Carp can be seen cruising and breaking the surface early and late in the day in the shallows if you’re into chasing them. Overall, fishing should stay consistent through the heat.
