PowerBait, worms, lures, and flies are good approaches for rainbow trout, bluegill, and black crappie. Worms, hot dogs, and chicken liver are good baits for channel catfish. Fishing has been slow, but anglers have recently had success fishing for catfish. Rainbow trout were stocked two weeks ago. With the warm water temperatures this week, trout will be active early and late in the day. Try fishing at various depths. The limit is 2 bass minimum size 13 inches, the limit is 4 channel catfish, the limit is 4 trout. Only boats with a single 10-horsepower (HP) motor (or less) or single electric motor are allowed on Kaibab Lake. Surface temperature 73 F, pH 9.09, Dissolved Oxygen (D.O.) 8.02, Secchi depth (a measurement of water transparency, measured by the depth at which a white disc lowered into the water is no longer visible from the surface) was 0.3 meters on 8/28/2023.
