Not a lot to report for Shasta as of lately, the water is beginning to cool, and while we are a ways away from the flip, you should be looking for bass and trout feeding on shad balls. The Float N' Fly rig with the shad pattern will be what is the best tactic soon. In the meantime, continue fishing the crayfish patterns near the banks and try those poppers towards evening to find the spots cruising the shallows.
