The Metolius has been fishing well. Good dry fly opportunities are still around and excellent nymphing during non hatch times. A variety of caddis, green drakes, BWO’s and PMD’s are all smart to have on hand for a trip to the Met. Nymphing has been great and an october caddis trailed by a small mayfly or caddis nymph is tough to beat. For targeting bulls, large streamers stripped, swung or dead drifted can be effective. There are lots of reservoir fish in the system right now. The Met is a gorgeous place to spend a fall day so get out there and get after some fish!
