Success Lake fell to 38 percent of capacity and fishing has been good. Fishing improved last week with anglers taking bass on drop shot, Ned rigs, and shaky heads in 10 to 20 feet of water. Aaron’s Magic, Ox Blood, and Green Pumpkin all worked for bites. Ten-inch ribbon tailed worms fooled bigger fish near submerged brush and trees. Anglers also reported plenty of schooled up “dinks” in shallow water. Crappie anglers fished with small live minnows, and catfish took dip baits, garlic nightcrawlers, and chicken liver.
