The reservoir is seeing some ice formation along the shallow portions of the shoreline, near the inflow of the S. Fork, and between Jetski Beach and Fisherman’s Point. This will likley change with warmer temperatures forecasted for most of the week. The boat dock has been pulled, however, the ramps remain open for now.

Fishing has picked up with cooler weather the last few weeks, with anglers catching a few fish each hour. Most catches are rainbow trout in the 15″-18” range, with a few brown trout in the mix. Fishing hot spots are along Coyote Cove and the Jet Ski Beach area on the southwest shore, and between the East Campground and Hastings Cove (boat ramp) on the east side.Worms and PowerBait are working well from shore for spinning rods, and fly fisherman are having luck with leech patterns with a trailing beadhead.
