The lake fell to 86 percent of capacity, and water temperatures dipped as low as 56 degrees. Trout anglers soaked dough baits for a few fish in the marina. Spinners, and spoons took some fish as well. Striped bass anglers hit the lake hard with big swimbaits and magnum sized topwater lures. A 30 pound zebra was reported by a very happy topwater angler. Deep water spooning has also been an effective way to entice bites from the line-sides as well. Large and smallmouth shut down after recent rains, and anglers worked finesse baits out deep for bites. Purple, dark green, and brown were good color choices. The bass that were caught have been big. Catfishing has been fair with anglers trying chicken liver, dip bait, and cut baits.
