The Kilchis is low and clear at this time but should rise to favorable fishing conditions with forecasted rains. Expect fair to good opportunity with the catch mostly consisting of wild steelhead. ‌

The Mapes Creek (logging bridge) boat ramp was damaged in the December storm and is still closed. Boaters should use extreme caution and check the ramp before launching there.
