The lake rose slightly to 79 percent of its storage capacity, and anglers reported better fishing in the Fish Arm of the lake. Bass held in 5 to 20 feet of water, and they fell for finesse baits and Senkos in baitfish, light purple, and smoke colors. Rocky areas have been holding bass positioning for the spawn. Striped bass anglers used cut baits along the shorelines for a few bites, but trolling A-rigs, spoons, and jerkbaits in the 25 foot zone over points has been a better way to hook up. Catfish anglers used dip baits and chicken liver in deeper coves around the lake. Trout anglers continue to boat huge rainbows while casting small jerkbaits, spoons, and crankbaits.
