All boat ramps are open but that doesn’t mean that the roads in are all safe. Drive slow, there are a lot of potholes. Most of these stretches are fishing good. You can nymph, streamer and dry fly fish all in the same stretch. Nymphing I would have the usuals, Pats Rubber Legs size 8 and 10, Zebra Midges red, green and black size 16 and 18, Cocktail nymph size 16 and 18, PT’s size 16, and Electric Caddis size 16. For streamers I would have Mikes Woolhead Sculpin in black and olive size 4, Barley Legal Olive and white size 4, Rusty Trombone olive size 4, and a Goldie white size 4. For the Dries I would have some Tilt Wing BWO size 16, No Hackle BWO size 16, and a Last Chance Cripple BWO size 16 and 18. Remember the BWO’s in the spring are much bigger than the one that are in the fall so using a size 16 is very common. Also, in this section of the river all the way to saint Anthony there is a lot of public access. Please! Park in the designated parking areas and please obey all trespassing signs.
