The East Walker on the California side of the state line is closed until April 27. 2024. The Nevada side of the river is open through the Winter.

 

The East Walker is running about 192 cfs today, this is a fair amount higher then it was last week. This makes getting around and crossing a bit more difficult but the fishing has still been pretty good. A little more weight on your rig and a little more patience should get you into some fish. They’re still eating nymphs pretty well, as well as streamers down there. Some patterns to try: perdigon, poxyback stone, copper John, wired stonefly, psycho prince, ziwi, dali lama, sculpzilla.

 

Still getting good reports from the ranch, lots of nice fish in the 14 to 20 inch range there. most of the same patterns that are working on the Rosachi will also work on the Sceirine. Give is a call if you’d like to reserve some time on the ranch.

 

Haven’t had any reports back from the pond this past couple weeks but conditions are great and the fishing should be excellent, I guess maybe I’ll just have to get out there myself to check it out for you.

Didn’t hear any news from the West this week, the water is still pretty cold but you should be able to scrounge a fish or two up there with some attractor nymphs, small streamers or maybe a Panther Martin or Mepps spinner. Be sneaky, the water is still very clear and the fish are likely to be fairly spooky.
