Green River Fishing Report

April 27, 2024

Flows: 1,670 Daily-3,370 Evening cfs

Temps: 42-44 F

Fishing has been great on all sections of the river, and the baetis (bwo) hatch is going strong. We are also seeing good midge hatches mid morning. Shallow and deep nymph rigs have been effective, as well as dry dropper rigs. The bwo hatch peaks from 1-3pm.  Streamer fishing has been slow.

Go-to flies:

Red, brown, black midge pupa patterns. (sz. 14-20) Grey and olive sow bugs and scuds. (14-22) BWO nymphs, emergers, cripples, and adults. (16-18) Spring Black stonefly nymphs and adult patterns. (12-14) Peach and pink eggs. Red, pink, and brown aquatic worms.
