Bait anglers reported good fishing for striped bass and catfish in the aqueduct. Cut baits, jumbo live minnows, live worms, and chicken liver took both species on the Carolina rig after check gates. Lure anglers reported a decent topwater bite for line-sides as the sun came up. Walking baits and Whopper Ploppers did most of the damage. Whopper Ploppers took plenty of largemouth as well. Bass also ate small swimbaits and flukes worked in the eddies. Bluegill were reported by anglers fishing with redworms in the outtake grates.
