This is great news! Our local anglers, Mike Merrit and his grandson Evan Mink, were out fishing on Mike's boat. They were using anchovies while fishing from shore. Mike takes his boat to a spot in the Big Bend area, pulls up on shore, and they landed a limit each of stripers. That's 20 fish between the two of them. I couldn't get them all in the picture.

I am getting word of stripers being landed by the dam and along the casino area. Community Park and the Nature Center have been doing well. There are some trout in that area also. Up on Lake Mohave, the striper bite is taking off near the dam on the Nevada side, and up near the power lines has been working well. The evening seems to be the best time, and anchovies are the bait of choice.
