The Metolius has been fishing well. Golden stones have been around and dry-dropper setups with a golden stone up top and a nymph or two below have been very effective. Caddis and PMDs will round out the dry fly box while pheasant tails, two-bits, jigged leeches, rainbow warriors, Pheasant tails and duracells have been some of our recent favorite nymphs. As always big streamers for the bull trout are a good idea, some nice bulls being caught recently. Like the Fall river the Metolius is a spring creek and will stay a nice cool temperature despite the warm weather.
