Only boats with a single 10-horsepower motor (or less) or single electric motor are allowed on Kaibab Lake. The lake level is low but launching a boat is still achievable. Anglers are still catching a few rainbow trout with bait like worms or PowerBait fished off the bottom, lures fished slowly, and flies fished deep. Try targeting trout early and late in the day for best results. Black crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish are active. Fishing small lures and flies are working well for bluegill and black crappie. Soft plastics and crankbaits are a good choice for largemouth bass.
