The limit is 2 bass minimum size 13 inches, the limit is 4 channel catfish, the limit is 4 trout. Only boats with a single 10-horsepower motor (or less) or single electric motor are allowed on Kaibab Lake. The lake level is low but launching a boat is still achievable. Anglers are still catching a few rainbow trout with bait like worms or PowerBait fished off the bottom, lures fished slowly, and flies fished deep. Try targeting trout early and late in the day for best results. Fishing for black crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish has been good. Fishing small lures and flies are working well for bluegill and black crappie. Soft plastics and crankbaits are a good choice for
largemouth bass. Worms, hot dogs, and anchovies are a good choice for channel catfish. Surface temperature 70.8 F, pH 7.8, Dissolved Oxygen (D.O) 6.9 mg/l on 8/22/2024. The Arizona Game and Fish Department Region 2 Aquatic Wildlife Program conducted a routine electrofishing survey of Kaibab Lake on July 24, 2024. Below is a table summarizing the results of the survey. Rainbow trout will be stocked this week.
