We will begin draining Echo Canyon Reservoir next week, October 7, 2024, to facilitate necessary maintenance work on the gate valve of the dam.

Despite the reservoir draining, Echo Canyon State Park will remain fully operational. Camping, hiking, and other outdoor recreation opportunities will not be impacted, and the park continues to welcome visitors throughout the duration of the project.

The contract work is expected to begin this month and should be completed within 120 days, although this timeline is subject to change based on weather conditions.
