Kaweah Lake fell to 8 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was good for some and tough for others. Successful anglers used finesse techniques with 3” to 4” plastics in shad and ox blood colors. A slower retrieve in 5 to 25 feet of water fooled spotted bass. Largemouth were reported by anglers throwing small football jigs near rocky structure. There were few reports from crappie anglers, and catfish ate chicken liver and garlic nightcrawlers.
