This time of year brings in the larger rainbows and lake trout. The Ski Run area to Emerald Bay in 25 to 35 feet of water has been productive using big rap baits. Some anglers have gone deeper off the Tahoe City shelf using a dodger and a live minnow. For more information contact Tahoe Sport fishing.

: Fall Fishing in Eastern Sierra
Caples Lake: The EID boat ramp and day use area is scheduled to close this week for the season
Woods Lake: The road is scheduled to be closed this week for the season
Red Lake: Red Lake Fishing Report
Blue Lake Lower: Road can close at any time
West Carson River (CA): The water level is very low. It was running at 24 CFM this week
East Carson River (CA): The river is running clear and very fishable
Heenan Lake : Open until November 30th
Topaz Lake: The lake level has been going down about a foot a week
