Crooked River - Prineville, OR

Fishing on the Crooked is consistent, with whitefish spawn in full swing drawing trout to egg patterns. BWOs and midges are creating surface opportunities in the afternoons, especially in eddies and slower moving water. Zebra midges, pink and orange scuds, and our favorite, the Ray Charles, remain excellent nymphing options. Be ready to size down to 6x or even 7x tippet when targeting picky fish on smaller flies like #22-24 midges.
