The lake offers many opportunities for some great fishing right now on the fly rod. Find a back cove with a tributary creek, they are all flowing right now, and look for Rainbows taking emerging insects. When you find them, midges or small BWO nymphs fished under indicators can work. Try also stripping in a plain old Pheasant Tail in #14 - 18 with an I Line and you won't be disappointed. For the bass, they are stacked in the 12- 25' depths eating crayfish. Come check out our float-n-fly options to get set up for big numbers! Bounced down the banks this is too much fun. The fall bass and trout season is here on Shasta!

Hot Flies:

• Wooly Buggers
• Float-n-Flies
• Dead Drop Minnow
• Zack's Stillwater Balanced Leech
