Pyramid Lake held near 85 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures remained in the low fifties. Striped bass and largemouth were the best bets with anglers doing well near the marina and near Chumash island. Striped bass ate cut sardines and anchovies in 25 to 50 feet of water. Trolled umbrella rigs worked for zebras over main and secondary points. Large and smallmouth bass fell for drop shot, Ned rigs, and jigs on points and along bluff walls. A slow presentation was the most successful. Crankbaits worked well for better grade bass in the early morning. Catfish slurped up cut sardines, anchovies, and dip bait near Yellowbar.
