Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho this week. DFW also brought us an additional 500 pounds making this week’s stock 2,000 pounds! The next stocking of 1,500 pounds will be the week of March 31st.

What’s the Catch? Limits of trout this week were at the tower buoy line. Anglers were using nightcrawlers three feet below a bobber. Sounds like trolling was good on Friday and Saturday, but not so much Sunday. Another sizable trout (estimated 3-4 pounds) was caught on a silver Rapala lure. Anglers catching trout were also hooking catfish last weekend. The cats are in the channel off of the t-dock best reached by boat. They were also biting on nightcrawlers. No reports of bass this weekend.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 61 degrees near the dock. Water temps are starting to rise. The district has been drawing water. Lake elevation is at 690 feet. The sun is rising at 6:51 a.m. and setting at 7:00 p.m.
