The lake rose to 77 percent of its storage capacity and water temperatures moved into the upper fifties and low sixties. Bass anglers reported 20 plus fish days on mostly smaller one-to-two-pound fish. Large and smallmouth held in the 5-to-20-foot zone, and they fell for finesse baits and wacky rigged Senko style baits. The best colors were watermelon, green pumpkin, and shad imitations. Small Keitechs also worked for bites when slow rolled along the bottom. Striped bass remained slow, but anglers reported better numbers than weeks past. Cut baits and spoons accounted for most of the catches. Catfish anglers caught whisker-fish while soaking dip baits and cut baits on the Carolina rig. Rainbow trout anglers did very well last week on good sized trout. Dough baits, minijigs, Mousetails, and various spinners and spoons filled stringers for anglers at the West Ramp.
