EAST WALKER RIVER           

The East is running about 96 cfs right now and is fishing very well on all sections in Nevada. The Rosachi and Elbow (public) sections are fishing well with streamers, nymphs and some dry/dropper rigs as well. We’re getting lots of good reports from down there with most anglers reporting 5 to 15 fish per half day of fishing. It’s still a little cold in the mornings but the fish seem to be biting earlier in the day than usual for this time of the year. The weather overall has been good and this seem to be getting the fish and bugs more active. Some patterns to try include: sculpzilla, Dali Lama, double bunny, dead drift crayfish, perdigon, hare’s ear, pheasant tail, soft hackle, rainbow warrior, silver streak, egg patterns, worm patterns, chubby chernobyl, crystal stimulator, stimulator.  

 

SCEIRINE RANCH          

The ranch has been fishing excellent lately with lots of good reports coming in from most of the anglers down there. The streamers are pretty avtive in the mornings then the nymphing starts picking up as the day wears on and the temps warm up. We’re getting quite a few reservations for the ranch so if you want to book some time it’s best to try to do that in advance as much as you can.                  

 

HUNEWILL POND          

The pond is ready to roll! The water level is a little low but it’s ice free and the fish did well over the winter. For the first report we’ve received it sounds like leech patterns did very well for the first few hours of the day then our angler moved on to small nymphs and kept picking up fish. Around 11 or so they started hitting the surface quite a bit and seemed to be eating mayflies pretty good, the fish got a little picky during this time but were still on the bite pretty good. If you want to book a day on the pond just give us a call!                       

            

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR

Robinson Creek, only from Lower Twin downstream, artificial flies or lures with barbless hook, zero fish limit.

Topaz Lake, open all year. 

Backcountry lakes with the exception of Kirman Lake all remain open all year.
