Green River Fishing Report

Flows: 1,050 cfs morning to 850 cfs daily afternoon. Increasing to 2,310 evening/nightly.

Temps: 39-40 F

Fishing has been good on all sections of river. We are seeing daily midge hatches, and bwo’s on days when conditions are right. There are some caddis hatching on the B section as well. This is the time of year when you could catch fish on dry flies, streamers, and nymphs. Let conditions or your preference dictate which technique you use.

Go-To Flies:

Worms in different colors-red, pink, and brown. Midge larva, pupa, and adults- black, brown, red, and wine.(sz.14-20) Egg patterns in different colors-pink and peach. BWO nymphs, emergers, and adults. (sz.16-18) Caddis adult patterns-olive/grey. (sz.18) Sow and scud patterns-dark grey/olive (sz.14-20) Small to medium streamers-both articulated and not-grey, olive, and tan.
