'Twas the night before Fishmas…

Tomorrow marks the official start of Mono County's regular fishing season! While most lakes are snow and ice-free, higher elevation spots like Rock Creek Lake ( today 4/25), Virginia Lakes, and the Mammoth Lakes Basin still have lingering snow and ice (please do NOT go on the ice).

As you cast your first lines of the season, please remember to practice sustainable fishing and show your best mountain manners. Respect the land, pack out your trash, and know the regs and limits.
